After each use the enamel flakes off the sides exposing a rough black subsurface. I’ve had this kettle for 10 days! Too bad. Sweet design, but cheaply made (like so many products these days).

Beautiful teakettle that’s not great quality, April 13, 2010

The teakettle came and was gorgeous – the red is rich and beautiful. The shape of the tea kettle is very elegant. Then on the second time of using, the teakettle stuck to the burner and the bottom of the enamel crinkled and fell off!! The kettle does NOT withstand heat sturdily. The kettle is pretty and still works for me, but I feel the quality is greatly lacking. I would definitely not recommend anyone to buy this, even though it is quite beautiful.

Nice style but poorly made, July 20, 2010

I’m in the market for a new teakettle to replace my Paula Deen. I loved the style and color of the red kettle but was disappointed to have the red paint chipping off so quickly, within a few weeks of purchase. After a year of more paint lose and a loosening handle I also found the inside had rust rings forming. Needless to say, that kettle went out in the trash. Until I read the reviews on Amazon I thought mine was an isolated case of a poorly made teakettle. Apparently not, since others have mentioned very similar conditions. Now it’s back to reading reviews and searching for the perfect kettle to sit on my stove.
