Calculating On The Kindle Is A Breeze Now,
If you’re not a math genius (like my husband), this is a great little app for your Kindle. All the basic functions are there, as well as percentage, square root, 1/x, memory, etc. You can also see the history of your calculation. In addition, results extend many decimal places (one result I got showed the answer to 16 decimal places). The numbers and symbols all match up nicely to corresponding keys on the Kindle.
Sure, if you want to figure the orbit of Pluto around the Sun in the year 2525, this is not the calculator you would use…..although my husband might be able to figure out a way. But for everyday needs, this is a good little calculator. Sitting somewhere shopping at Amazon on your Kindle? Just use the calculator to figure how much all those great books will cost!
Someone on here said not to buy the calculator, and to use some secret method on your Kindle. Well, I tried his method and my Kindle froze up and I had to re-start it. I then came here and bought the calculator, as I’d rather pay 99 cents for an EASY TO USE calculator than to attempt some alternative method that is a pain to use and causes problems.

Very useful addition to your Kindle,
The person who gave this little application a bad ranking may be a geek and can hack his Kindle. There is a way to do that. But most of us are not so gifted nor do we want to be. Easier for us to pay .99 and be done with it. That said, this is a nice calculator. I especially like having the running tape. That’s better than any pocket calculator. In fact, one of the bad features to the otherwise handy little pocket calculators is that there is no running tape, so you can easily lose where you’re at if you have a lot of figures.
It takes a bit of practice to get proficient at this calculator. But it’s really nice. It’s the size of the screen. So just about anyone can easily see it and work with it. It’s a fully functional financial calculator. I find it useful when I’m looking up a price for a prospective client and then need to figure the bottom line.
The one thing I’d like to see is a way to make it pop up. Also, perhaps sometime Amazon will add a number pad to the Kindle. But that might be getting away from the way the Kindle was made to be used, to read books.
I read a lot of personal financial books and books on economics and often wish I had a calculator on the Kindle. So I expect I’ll get a lot of use out of this.
I initially gave it four stars because it doesn’t pop up. But after thinking about it, I figured that might not be a need of lots of people. Admittedly, it is somewhat important to me. I know I have a popup calculator on my Palm device.
So, when you’re reading a book and need to figure something, you have to get out of the book and into the calculator and then back. But I know that it might not be possible to develop an app for the Kindle that does that and so it’s not fair to judge it based on that criteria.
Otherwise, this is an excellent tool and I recommend it.

Handy Calculator App – Recommended,
This “Easy Calculator” adds a simple calculator application and fills a void I wasn’t even aware existed since it gets used almost every time my Kindle is on. Here are my observations:
Pros -
+ Looks like a traditional calculator on the screen
+ Convenient to access
+ Inexpensive (a relative term, I know)
Cons -
– Key mapping has a slight learning curve, but easy enough once you get the hang of it
I am very happy to have found this useful app!
Highly Recommended!

Another Great Set of Puzzles from the Grabarchuk Family,
I love having these on my Kindle. They are just a great way to pass the time and challenge my brain. I previously devoured Puzzlebook: 100 Puzzle Quizzes (color and interactive!) so I was excited to see another set of puzzles come out so quickly.
They start out easy and progress at a steady rate to puzzles that you probably want a good nights sleep before attempting. Or, if your brain is not working well, just jump to the solution and figure it out backwards.
Like their first set of puzzles, it is easy to navigate using your Kindle controls. The answers are easily accessible and offer some explanation but not always. There are some repetitive styles of puzzles but answering the first one just gives you the benefit of understanding the process, not knowing the answer.
Even though on the Kindle, they are in black and white, this doesn’t detract from understanding the puzzle or the fun of completing them.
A great set of well-thought out puzzles ready to challenge even the best puzzler.

Marching to the Tune of Brainy Stimuli,
The Grabarchuk Family seems to have the corner on puzzle quizzes. For those who have the previous version 100 PUZZLE QUIZZES the stimulus to add to the brainpower and the entertainment has been ignited. Time to move on – and who knows how far this family of puzzle quizzes inventors will take us! One of the many aspects that makes this collection so special is that it is limited to ebook format: the very presence of the puzzles coming through the ether makes the book interactive. Solve a puzzle and be instantly rewarded: a simple click at the bottom of each puzzle quiz takes you – if you’re correct in your analysis – to the solution page, and if you blew it, you can stay where you are until you get it right. This is true instant gratification or …. Beep!
Perhaps because of spending quality time with the original 100 Puzzle Quizzes book that makes this collection seem less daunting, or perhaps it is the brain exercise gained form that experience that seems to result in the new book’s puzzle quizzes mare accessible – still challenging, but the answer button produces more journeys to the solution page. Or, it may just be an added booster to keep working with the Grabarchuk Family’s creations. AND, it may mean they have long-term cerebral efficiency improvement! Grady Harp, September 11

The best book on my Kindle,
The puzzles are challenging and fun as in the previous book (100 Puzzle Quizzes). Moreover, this book contains many examples of my favorite types, 3D volume comparison puzzles and the puzzles that require you to fold the given sheet in your mind to make a 3D object.
This book is definitely the best book on my Kindle. I look forward to see more puzzle books from the Grabarchuk Family on my Kindle and other mobile devices.
