(PRWEB) January 6, 2011

After a Christmas of excess and over indulgence many of us will be looking for ways to get back to our best – and help is at hand thanks to a good old cup of tea.

The blend, known as Tava Tea, offers a wide range of health benefits and could be the answer for those looking to detox and shape up in 2011.

Tava Tea; available on http://www.weightlosstea.com is an organic blend of Sencha, Wu-yi Cliff Oolong and Puerh teas which when combined aid weight loss by increasing metabolism, decreasing fat absorption and reducing food cravings. The result – less food is consumed and that which is is metabolised by the body more effectively.

The brew also claims to help fight the signs of ageing, reduce menopausal symptoms, aid digestion and reduce the risk of heart disease.

The teas have already proven popular with a host of celebrities including Victoria Beckham, Oprah Winfrey, Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson and Usher.

Dr Tim Thurlings from Tava Tea says the drink offers a natural solution for anyone hoping to get back to their best in the New Year.

Dr Thurlings said: “Most of us start the year feeling a little run down and sorry for ourselves after eating and drinking too much over the festive period. We then rush to sign up to gyms and fitness classes but a few weeks later lose motivation and end up frustrated and out of pocket.

“By simply drinking 4-5 cups of Tava Tea a day we believe users will be able to both lose weight and detox. Within a month you could be up to half a stone slimmer, feeling better about yourself and with the winter blues well behind you.

Trimming up really couldn’t be easier. Simply make a pot of tea, put your feet up and sip away, safe in the knowledge that your body will benefit. Each bag can be used multiple times with each brew tasting slightly different as the flavours develop. ”

Gaynor Corkhill, has lost more than four stone since she started drinking the tea nine months ago and says she’s never felt better.

She said: “I think the reason Tava has worked for me is that unlike other diets I don’t have to change my lifestyle to lose weight. All I have to do is make a refreshing pot of tea and enjoy, it’s a nice way to break up the day and I view it as a treat for my body. I have loads more energy than before. I get up earlier and get so much more done at work which is great. “

Dr Thurlings concluded: “We aren’t saying the tea is a miracle cure. However, studies have proved that it does work in helping people lose weight and in increasing a sense of general wellbeing. All testimonials that we receive have one thing in common: our customers have more energy and have lost 6-10lbs in 3-4 weeks time, all by drinking our Tava Tea! Who would have thought a cuppa could have such life changing effects?”

Information on Black Tea

Black tea is a kind of fermented tea, originating from green tea after it is mixed, kneaded, fermented, dried and otherwise processed. The water of green tea is freshly green while that of black tea is orange red.Tea without sugar is called as black tea. In India and Middle-east black tea is also referred to as ‘sulemani chai’. Both black and green tea are beneficial for the heart, according to latest researches in this field. They can both act as good antioxidants, freeing the body from harmful toxins.

Tea can be consumed in a variety of ways. I like my black tea with milk and sugar. And then there is green tea, white tea and oolong tea which I usually take without any additives. How I consume my tea usually depends on the type of tea.

Black tea is a variety of tea that is more oxidized than the green, oolong and white tea varieties. Black Tea contains many antioxidants. These antioxidants help the body in many ways. In recent studies, black tea has been found to cut down on artery clogging which in turn can help with heart disease and high blood pressure.

One of the key points to keep in mind about black tea is its distinctive flavor. Because of the manner in which it has been processed, it can easily be differentiated from other forms of tea. Once you’ve sampled black tea, chances are you will never be nostalgic for other types of tea.

Black tea has approximately half the amount of caffeine than a regular cup of coffee, and green tea contains half the amount of caffeine than black.

Antioxidants: Tea is packed with antioxidants which prevents free radical damage that leads to numerous diseases. The antioxidant potential in tea has been found to be significantly higher than that of grape juice and red wine which would explain the studies around the health benefits of drinking tea.

Tea Bags (commercial type like Liptons) are the least beneficial Loose Tea – much better for us than commercial tea bags Organic Loose Tea is far better to drink than commercial tea bags or non-organic loose black tea. There are no chemicals or additives.

Although green and black teas came from the same plant – Camellia Sinensis, what makes them different from each other in terms of taste and health benefits is the processing method.

Black teas contain antioxidants which prevent the damage caused by free radicals which can lead to numerous diseases.

Drinking black teas can help to reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes, as it helps to expand the arteries, which increases blood flow to the heart.

On one last note, to maximize the benefits of this type of tea it is best to drink it straight. Early research conducted both on humans and in rats shows that adding milk to black tea severely reduces the health benefits. Even beyond all these studies, black tea still has weight loss benefits, just like green tea.

Regular drinkers of black leaf tea are more able to relieve their stress faster than the non drinkers. It can also be blended with a number of herbs which enhances its benefits. For example cloves can be added for relieving flu and colds. Ginger plays an effective role in healing respiratory system. Nutmeg can be added to get relief from throat problems pepper can be added to black tea to help promote digestive system and so on.

The Black Tea Edge

You would be surprised to know that one way to fight diabetes is by drinking black tea. Amazing? While teas are known for the health benefits that you can derive from them, there are some teas that possess unique characteristics that make them the all-time favorites, one of which is black tea. It is not so unusual why black tea is really popular since it is very flexible when it comes to usage, and has extra health benefits that cannot be found in other varieties of tea.

You might not know it, but the cool and refreshing iced tea that you love to drink is made from black tea. You can easily notice the rich flavor, the savory aroma, and the brilliant dark red color of every glass of iced tea. Aside from that, in every glass, you get the same powerful antioxidants that every tea gives to your body.

One major benefit that you can get from black tea is its capacity to fight diabetes. A recent research in China found out that the polysaccharide levels of black tea is greater compared to other varieties of tea. These polysaccharides slow down the absorption of glucose, thereby reducing the sugar levels in the body. These findings would eventually lead to further explore this specific property of the black tea in managing diabetes.

There is an organic black tea which you could say is entirely a natural tea. The plant (cammellia sinensin) being used for this kind of tea are free from man-made chemicals. These bushes are not given synthetic fertilizers, growth regulators, or even pesticides. Everything that contributes to their growth is natural. Since farmers cannot use synthetic methods, they resort to crop rotation, composting, and inter-planting. These methods replenish the soil and help maintain the ecological balance in the planet.

Organic black tea is very helpful for those who require a strict intake on foods. Because of the natural characteristics of this tea, more and more people are shifting their preference to this kind of tea, not to mention its existing patrons around the world.

So if you want to live the natural way, in order to protect your body from certain diseases such as diabetes, then go for organic black tea. It is delicious and a good source of antioxidants as well.

Ingredients: Organic black tea from Yunnan, China. Flavor Profile: Smooth, full bodied, malty, and classically brisk. Tea Story: This is the Samovar version of English Breakfast- a tea you can count on time and again. Wake up with this tea like so many of our ex-coffee-drinking tea converts do. Breakfast Blend teas were created as the signature blend of a particular tea company. A “Breakfast Blend” is a blend of tea from a company’s tea gardens that is blended to achieve a uniform and reliable flavor season after season- regardless of weather conditions that might effect a tea’s flavor. At the beginning of the 19th century, some tea sellers were even creating tea blends that best suited a town or city’s local water supply. Samovar’s Breakfast Blend is a blend of Dian Hong style tea from Yunnan, China. This means that it is only top-quality tea with whole leaves and a high content of fine golden leaf buds: “golden tips.” Samovarian Poertry: Kindle clarity. Banish stupor. Full malty flavor with delicate dryness. Food Pairings: Serve Samovar Breakfast Blend alongside your oatmeal, waffle, pancakes, or toast and eggs- it is a breakfast blend after all! At the tea lounge we serve it with our English-style Afternoon Tea Service: scone with clotted cream and jam, quiche, and fresh, seasonal fruit. You may just want to pair it with milk and sugar at your desk. For more information: shop.samovarlife.com
